payIQ Operator Manual

The working guide to payIQ for payroll and operations users.

payIQ is GEWCC’s workspace-scoped payroll operations application. It records your company’s employees, calculates payroll, finalizes it into payslips, tracks attendance, leave and salary advances, prepares payment instructions, offers accounting handoffs to LedgerIQ, and produces reports and exports.

This manual describes the current operator manual — the payIQ product as it works today. It is written for payroll and operations users, not developers.

What payIQ does — and deliberately does not

Section titled “What payIQ does — and deliberately does not”

payIQ does:

  • Keep workspace-scoped employee, compensation, and payroll configuration.
  • Calculate payroll from reviewed statutory rules and immutable snapshots.
  • Finalize a calculated run into locked payslips.
  • Record attendance, leave, and salary advances as operational history.
  • Prepare and reconcile payment instructions and batches.
  • Offer immutable accounting handoffs to LedgerIQ and receive its results.
  • Produce CSV and XLSX reports and exports.

payIQ does not:

  • Move money. It executes no bank, mobile-money, or cash transfer, and it integrates with no bank or payment provider.
  • Post accounting. LedgerIQ owns the chart of accounts, journals, and posting.
  • Edit finalised payroll. Finalization is irreversible; there is no unfinalize step.
